Q: Can I smoke?
 
A: Yes, outside the cabin.
 
   
Q: Can I bring alcohol?
 
A: No hard alcohol, only beer and/or wine.
 
   
Q: How fast are we going?
 
A: The "Sea Master" cruises @ 24 knots and the "Sea Master 33" cruises @ 30 knots.
 
   
Q: How long does it take to get to the fishing grounds?
 
A: For halibut trips, anywhere from 1 hour to 2.5 hours and for salmon trips, anywhere from 20 minutes to 1.5 hours.
 
   
Q: Can I bring my own fishing gear?
 
A: Yes you can, but we do supply all the fishing gear.
 
   
Q: Can we keep the fish we catch?
 
A: Yes you choose the fish you want to keep, but if the fish is wounded, you will have to keep the fish.
 
   
Q: How do I know it's my fish?
 
A: We mark each angler(s) fish with a colored plastic tie.
 
   
Q: Can I bring a cooler on the boat?
 
A: Yes & No. Only small lunch coolers are allowed on the boat, big coolers for fish should be left in your vehicle. You can get your fish cooler when we are filleting fish.
 
   
Q: Do I need a fishing license?
 
A: Yes if you are 16 years old or older. You can purchase fishing license locally or online @ www.adfg.state.ak.us
 
   
Q: How long have you been doing this?
 
A: Capt. Larry & Capt. Harry started Share Alaska Charters in 1991. They have been in the charter industry for 16 years, but have been fishing for 27 years.
 
   
Q: Do you fillet our fish?
 
A: Yes
 
   
Q: Who processes fish in Seward?
 
A: J-Dock Fish Co.can process your fish. They provide services such as vacuum packing, freezing, boxing and shipping via FedEx or UPS.
 
   
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
 
A: We accept cash or traveler's check or personal check or Visa/ Mastercard
 
   
Q: How old do you have to be to go out on a Fishing & Sightseeing Charter?
 
A: At least 10 years old, but this is open for discussion.
 
   
Q: Where can I park?
 
A: There is a large parking lot in front of J-Dock ramp, between the Texaco gas station and NAPA Auto Parts. The fee is $ 5.00 for the day.
 
   
Q: Can I fish for a family member or friend that is not feeling well or does not want to fish?
 
A: Alaska State Law prohibits anyone from fishing for someone else. You can only catch YOUR fish limit.
 
   
Q: When does the Fishing & Sightseeing season start and end?
 
A: May 1 to September 10.
 
   
Q: Should I take motion sickness medication?
 
A: Only if you are prone to motion sickness, if you are, take medication the night before scheduled charter.
 
   
Q: How many people do you take out on your charters?
 
A: The "Sea Master 33" 6 people and the "Sea Master" 6 people.
 
   
Q: Do I tip the boat crew?
 
A: Tipping is customary and appreciated.
